05/31/2012
Onsite “lunch and learn” sessions enable engineering project leaders to provide expert wastewater treatment and renewable energy advice to their municipal and industrial clients.

Pasteurization Technology Group (PTG), innovator of the only wastewater disinfection process that creates renewable energy, is embarking on a national roadshow. The informational sessions are designed to help project leaders and their teams at the nation’s top engineering firms learn about the latest advancement in wastewater disinfection. During a free onsite seminar, engineers will learn about PTG’s unique solution that harnesses biogas (or other fuel sources) to generate onsite renewable energy, while disinfecting wastewater, without the use of toxic chemicals.

“We heard from several engineering firms that they’re looking for cost-saving solutions that are sustainable and chemical-free, that they can present to their clients,” said Glenn d’Eon, national sales manager at Pasteurization Technology Group. “These informative seminars enable engineering teams to familiarize themselves with the latest innovations in wastewater treatment technology, so that they can better serve existing clients and develop a competitive advantage when securing new business.”

The informational sessions are aimed at consulting engineering firms engaged in projects at wastewater treatment plants, and businesses in the food and beverage industries. During the one-hour session, attendees will learn:

  • How to simultaneously deliver wastewater disinfection and onsite renewable energy generation
  • The significant cost savings provided by PTG’s patented technology via a “2-for-1” integrated solution
  • Industrial context: why businesses need to curb the use of toxic chemicals and reduce energy usage
  • The benefits of using a sustainable, non-toxic approach in specific wastewater disinfection applications
  • How to utilize biogas and other fuel sources (e.g., natural gas) for dramatic cost savings
  • Life-cycle cost comparisons with other technologies and approaches
  • Review of California’s Title 22 certification of PTG’s technologyTo learn more or schedule a session in your office, please contact PTG at info(at)pastechgroup(dot)com or call 510-357-0562.PTG transforms treated wastewater into a valuable resource
PTG is the first and only company in the world to combine wastewater disinfection with renewable energy generation. PTG’s patented technology can use the digester gas (often referred to as biogas, a natural by-product of wastewater treatment) or other sources such as natural gas as fuel to drive a turbine that generates renewable electricity. The hot exhaust air from the turbine (energy that is typically wasted) is then passed through a series of heat exchangers that increase the temperature of the wastewater to a level that disinfects the wastewater stream. PTG’s technology is significantly more cost-effective and more energy-efficient than other methods. And, unlike other wastewater disinfection approaches, PTG’s systems do not require toxic chemicals such as chlorine, or costly electrical power and expensive UV lamps.

    About Pasteurization Technology Group
Located in San Leandro, California, Pasteurization Technology Group is a venture-capital backed company that is revolutionizing the disinfection of wastewater. PTG’s systems utilize its patented “two-for-one” technology that combines wastewater disinfection with the generation of renewable energy. PTG’s process is one of only a handful of technologies to pass the stringent standards of Title 22 in the state of California for the disinfection of water for reuse. By channeling the typically wasted exhaust heat from a turbine to disinfect wastewater, PTG’s process is the most energy-efficient and lowest-cost solution on the market. PTG won the 2011 BlueTech® Go-To-Market Strategy award and the Popular Science 2011 Best of What’s New award, and was featured in the 2012 Cleantech Forum Entrepreneur Showcase.
